Winter Chili Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chili powder

- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 (28-ounce) can of crushed tomatoes
- 1 (15 ounces) can of kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 (15-ounce) can of pinto beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup beef broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
- Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the pot and cook until softened about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the chili powder, cumin, oregano, and cayenne pepper. Cook for 1 minute more.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, pinto beans, beef broth, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, or until the chili has thickened.

Tips
- For a spicier chili, add more cayenne pepper.
- If you don't have chili powder, you can use a combination of ground cumin, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
