  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup capers, drained
  • 1/4 cup pitted black olives, sliced
  • 2 anchovy fillets, drained and chopped

  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package directions.
  2. While the spaghetti is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes and cook until softened about 1 minute.
  3. Add the capers, olives, anchovies, and tomatoes to the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  4. Stir in the parsley and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Drain the spaghetti and add it to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat.
  6. Serve immediately.

Tips:

  • For a more authentic flavor, use fresh tomatoes instead of canned.
  • If you don't like anchovies, you can omit them or substitute 1 tablespoon of anchovy paste.
  • Add a splash of white wine or lemon juice to the sauce for extra flavor.
  • Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese or fresh basil leaves.
